The R&RA Health and Wellbeing Campaign
The R&RA’s Health and Wellbeing Campaign
Around 400,000 older people live in care homes. Their average age is mid 80s, and rising. Many residents have memory loss, confusion, or dementia, multiple disabilities and complex care needs and there will be a continuing need for care home provision for frail older people. The R&RA Health and Wellbeing campaign is focused on frail and vulnerable older people who live in care homes. We believe they deserve the best possible care and support from their home and from health services. The R&RA is committed to helping residents of care homes and their relatives get their voices heard. The R&RA’s Health and Wellbeing Campaign is focused on how people in care homes live their lives. We are interested in the views of people who live in, work in and visit care homes for older people. In particular we would like to hear from you about how continence is handled in the care homes you know, and whether care homes get the support they need from health services. Contact us: |
