Relatives & Residents Association

We support, inform and speak on behalf of older people in care

What We Do – Resources and Publications

The R&RA has always believed the best way of empowering care home users and their relatives to decide what is best for them, and cope with any issues that arise, is for there to be a readily accessible source of the information they need. Our expertly written plain-language guides on many care topics complement the one-to-one advice available on the helpline and can be viewed, ordered or downloaded on this site.

We also believe the most positive way of seeking to improve care standards is to enlist carers and providers themselves in the continual quest for awareness of best practice, and how to maintain it. Our practice and training aids for carers are simple to use but expertly compiled, with instant access to more detailed guidance on many topics. They are acclaimed for their value to everyone involved in care of older people, in any context.
