Although a great deal of work can be carried out nationally, to be effective, relatives must be involved locally. The Association is working to promote groups within homes and local groups or networks which are able to cooperate with local advisory committees, local authority planning and consultation arrangements and other organisations.

Below is a list of groups that can help on a more local level with concerns regarding long term care for older people. Please note that although not all of these groups are specifically orientated towards older people in care homes they may be able to give some advice or point you in the right direction.
