Donations

There are several ways to donate to the work of the R&RA.

You can:

Make an online donation

At present we use the website Charity Choice to allow people to make online donations to the R&RA. It is a website with secure payment.

Everything you donate is credited directly to the R&RA, and you can also tick to agree to gift-aid which increases the value of your donation by 28%.

Should you wish, you can also make your donation anonymous.

Click here to open the Charity Choice link in a new browser window.

Set up a direct credit

You can arrange for specific amount to be taken directly from your bank account at whatever interval you choose for as long or short as you like.

To set up a direct credit, print this form and return it to our offices (see address on form).

Make a donation by cheque

Print this form and return it with a cheque to:

The Relatives & Residents Association
24 The Ivories
6-18 Northampton Street
London N1 2HY

Shop online at major stores and automatically donate

From Amazon to WHSmith, whatever your online purchases, you can now donate to the R&RA simply by accessing their websites via the links on the ‘easyfundraising’ website. You won’t pay any extra for your goods, and it is not any more complicated than your usual online shopping spree. Here is a guide to using the site:

1. To make sure that all donations go to the R&RA, you MUST register at http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/uk/rra. Make sure you choose ‘Relatives & Residents Association’

2. You must make sure that your internet security settings allows ‘pop-ups’ (the usually annoying little windows that sometimes appear when you are surfing the net). Without enabling this, your donation will not be able to be tracked. For Internet Explorer users, look under Tools/Pop-up Blocker and temporarily turn it off before commencing shopping. If this doesn’t work, then your Anti-Virus system may be restricting Pop-ups. Some more hints on how to get around this problem can be found on this easyfundraising link. (http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/refer_a_friend/tracking)

3. When you are logged on the easyfundrasing website, you can use any of the links to go to the store of your choice – and there is a LOT of choice! You will be notified of the donations you have made by email, as well as the record on your account with easyfundraising.

4. Remember to tell your friends and family about this easy way to support older people in care!

Membership

Membership of the R&RA is a great way to lend more weight to the voice of older people in care.

Members are our eyes and ears, and are often closest to the people we want to help. Accordingly, we greatly appreciate any comments on your experience with long term care for older people or on the outcomes of any situations you have discussed with us. Your input is invaluable!

We understand if you want to belong to the charity but don't have the means to pay the fees for the time being; we want you to be part of our work. If you can afford to subscribe and would like to give a little extra to our work, we would be very grateful. Remember, if you pay tax, we can claim it back and so increase the size of your donation at no cost to you.

Membership entitles you to:
  • Free Newsletters
  • Reduced Conference Fee
  • Reduced prices on publications

Membership fees:

Individual Membership - £15/year
Corporate Membership - £60/year
