The R&RA is always pleased to welcome volunteers, whether for general help in the office in London or in your own community to help spread awareness of the work we do and with fundraising to ensure it can continue.
Or you may be someone with direct experience of the care system, e.g. on behalf of a relative, and willing to use this to help others facing similar problems, who may feel at a loss where to start.
Volunteering with the R&RA is an excellent and rewarding way of putting your own abilities and experience to good use – especially in a sector which is so badly funded and under-prioritised.
From time to time we are also able to offer internships, which are an ideal way for recent graduates or others interested in a career in the care or social work sectors to gain practical experience at first hand, and at the same time make their own contribution to the research, campaigns and projects we undertake.
R&RA internships are paid posts for a fixed period, usually linked to a particular project and subject to us being able to obtain the funding needed.
Please get in touch with your contact details if you are interested, so we can let you know if a post to suit you is likely to become available.
We have no endowments or guaranteed funding so rely on the loyalty of our members and the support of our generous donors to continue our work.
